Summer camp “Brave heart” is over and now is a part of history. Thank you very much to everyone who helped with it. First of all, God made it happen despite everything that was against it: war time and dissatisfied neighbors who even called the police on us. Second, we had a great team of 38 people who made this camp an amazing adventure for 70 children and even much bigger team of people praying for the camp all over the world. Thus, let’s dive in to the atmosphere of the camp. As soon as kids entered the campground, they found themselves in a medieval fortress with a real drawbridge that was raised up and lowered by metal chains. Little bit further was a watch tower rising above the neighboring lands. Each team had its own camp tent and their leaders were dressed in costumes of Vikings, samurais or knights. These devoted people taught children Bible truths and helped them grow as brave warriors during six days of the camp. Other leaders led special courses of dancing, crafting and physical training. At the end of a camp day, children were tired because their day was full of different stations and activities. They went home talking about characters and events of the skit, games that they played, and showed off to each other their crafts. However, the most important is that each of them heard the good news that Jesus is our God and Savior who gives us courage and strength. Bible lesson was not the most exciting station for them but certainly, it was the most transforming. P.S. A girl from the oldest team made a video about the camp where she shared her experience and gratitude. These are her words at the end of the video: “Thank you all for great moments, smiles and joy. Thank you all for fun walks and team work. I am sincerely thankful to our leaders for interesting assignments and to all the people who made these six days a great experience. We filmed some great moments and others are left in our memories. It is so sad that tomorrow will be our last day in the camp. It gave us many emotions, fun pictures and your jokes, which we could not understand sometimes. Our team did not behave well all the time but our leaders Sergiy and Dana took all responsibility on themselves so we are thankful to them for that. Please, grow into responsible people and be with the Lord.”
