Statement of Faith

                  

God

We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14);

 

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, I His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory (Matthew 1:18-25; Matthew 2:1,2);

 

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is present and active in the world.  The Holy Spirit was given to the Church in His fullness at Pentecost.  By the Spirit, Christ lives in His Church, the gospel is proclaimed, and the kingdom of God is manifested in the world (Acts 2:1);

 

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God-inspired, the only infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16,17);

 

The Plan of Salvation

We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).  We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

 

The Church

We believe that the Church is the people of God composed of all those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  The Church is Christ’s body; it is visible in the world wherever believers, in obedience of faith, hear the Word and live as disciples (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25);

 

Evangelism

We believe that soul winning is an important responsibility of the Church (Matthew 28:18-20; James 5:20).

 

God’s Ultimate Victory

We believe in God’s ultimate victory over Satan and all evil, and the establishment of His perfect kingdom in a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 20:10,15; Revelation 21:1-4)
