How can you help?

Give - We have an ongoing need for crafts supplies, hygiene supplies, and finances for special ministry projects to the children.

Go - We offer very reasonably priced trips to help with summer outreach programs.  Pray about going and helping in these exciting outreaches.

Send - Be willing to help send people you know who have a burden to minister to the children.

Support - As a non-profit organization we depend on the generous support of our contributors both financially and in prayer.

Sherrel Richmond

Sherrel was born in Waterloo, Iowa in 1951 in a family of 6 siblings.  Sherrel accepted the Lord in 1985.  Shortly after accepting the Lord Sherrel made her first missionary trip to Mexico City with an AIM (Ambassadors in Mission) group as a chaperon – about 35 young adults.

Sherrel saw God move in miraculous ways; healing a little girl of an imperfection in her heart to where she did not require surgery which was scheduled for the next day. A little boy was released from a spirit that kept him from speaking.  The spirit of the Lord was powerful.  It was her first real encounter of just how powerful prayer could be.

From this trip Sherrel and her husband became involved with Operation Serve Mexico, a 501 C 3 serving as the North American administrators.  It was with Operation Serve Mexico that we started coordinating teams to do various outreaches in and around Mexico City.  After 10 years of ministry with OPS we became involved with Tom Benz taking teams of willing servants to Ukraine to minister to the unwanted children of Ukraine.

Sherrel and her husband have also traveled to La Paz, Bolivia to help build a church building and then to Santa Cruz, Bolivia to build a Bible school.

Sherrel’s first trip to Crimea, Ukraine was the summer of 1998 reaching out to the street kids and orphans.  The ministry has grown into what has become “The Least of These”, an Oregon non-profit 501 C 3 organization.  After each trip our determination was renewed to continue bringing the Word of God to the unloved children of Ukraine.

“With the help of our Lord Jesus Christ this work will be blessed and will continue long after we are no longer able to “GO”.  Until then, we are pressing on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us – to reach out to the children in Ukraine.”
